New version for ChessTD! v0.3 is live.

This new update came with a new AI that brings challenges and fun to the mix.

TL;RD The new AI works each wave in a two-step process: first, she bought an upgrade for her units at 1.5 times the cost of her most expensive unit, and then she spends the rest of the money on minions to flood the track.

Challenges The first version has a lot of ifs and the objective was to be able to represent someone else playing on the other side as well. Works well on the AIMap, but as soon as I integrated it with the DemoMap, everything looks too easy. After that, I take an approach more focused on player fun and take away some ifs from the logic so the enemy AI can be more challenging and bring more fun to the mix.

Luckily I don’t have to change a lot of code to integrate the new AI and I take the opportunity to order all the wave mechanics.

I also take the time to add a new line of text on the game over menu so the player can know how many waves they beat.
